I am pleased to share with all of you my new painting “Spirit of Eagles”.
This artwork was developed for the Spirit of Eagles program that services Native People nationally via the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota.
The painting will be used as the cover art for the 2010 Spirit of Eagles conference taking place here in Seattle WA.

INSPIRATION:
The four petroglyph eagles represent the four colors of man and ancient knowledge.
The plants are traditional and modern medicine.
The infant and adult images indicate the work of the spirit of eagles will follow a person throughout a lifetime.
The wigwams at the bottom of the page tells us how important it is for our community to support healthy initiatives.

I am please to share with everyone, my wearing blanket “We Hold the Future” has won the Best in Show Award at the Washington State History Museum located in Tacoma WA.
This juried art exhibit will showcase the work of 30 contemporary Native American artists. Guests will see how today’s Native art connects traditional artistic heritage and contemporary forms of expression. The featured artwork will be selected by a three-member jury comprised of local experts inNative American art.

In connection with South Puget Sound Community College’s Native American Heritage Celebration on April 18 in the KJM Center for the Arts, Native American artists and craftspeople from around the region will share their traditions, creativity and diversity.
This incredible bench seat now lives in Judith’s garden. The mosaic is 44″ x 15″ installed on a slightly curved cement bench. The design was inspired by my button blanket design of Octopus Woman & Crow.

Bench seats cost $500 plus supplies. Client’s must provide the concrete bench seat(s) to be decorated.
